We are elopement photographers and offer an all inclusive package for our couples. We were so fortunate to work with Carolina for one of our elopements in Alaska this summer. It was very easy to communicate with her and she created a beautiful cake that our clients absolutely loved. We highly recommend AK Wedding Cake if you are looking for something delicious and someone who is super personable and easy to work with!
“Do we really need a cake?” my future wife asked me, about a year ago. I answered, “Yes.” Marriage is all about compromise. But not about whether there will be cake —a matter in which trust is already at an all-time low. “Okay, then I will leave that up to you,” she said. I began researching local cakeries, but kept striking out — either our delivery date was already booked (or would be by the time they had an available appointment), or the options just didn’t fit our style. We were starting to get nervous, and I even briefly considered pie. PIE. Then we found Alaska Wedding Cake Boutique. Available? Yes. In our budget? Yes. Menu of tasty options? Oh, my. Mmm! YES. (I’m serious, you guys. That butter cream frosting melts on your tongue like a snowflake wrapped around a center of pure joy and happiness.) But I had found an inspirational picture of my dream cake, and it wasn’t exactly your typical wedding fare. I wanted something that fit us — unique, a little quirky, symbolic. Was this even in their wheelhouse? “Sure, we can do that for you.” Sometimes the answer you’re looking for comes so easily that you begin to doubt whether you can trust it, but we put down our deposit and hoped for the best. A year passed, and I stood before our cake table mesmerized by a confection that conjures up terms like “artistry” and “craftsmanship.” I had only hoped it would live up to the inspirational picture. What we got instead was perfection. Have you ever had a cake bring a tear to your eye? Would you like to? Consider your search over. I am only giving this place five stars because Google won’t let me have any more. Oh, and just between us friends, if you don’t at least sample the blueberry lemon, you are missing out on one of life’s greater pleasures. Do not sleep on this.
We were completely BLOWN AWAY by our cake from Alaska Wedding Cake Boutique. Not only was it the most stunning and intricate cake I have ever seen it was DELICIOUS! Our guests devoured it and are still talking about how they have never had a cake that tasted so good. It was amazing. After having our beautiful cake tasting with Carolina we knew immediately that we wanted her to be part of our wedding team. We will 100% be ordering every cake we need for special occasions from Alaska Wedding Cake Boutique. If you are looking for a wedding cake designer, book ASAP you will be so impressed!
Carolina is INCREDIBLE! She made our cake for our wedding and the customer service, flavors, and decor were out of this world! We were totally blown away by her sugar flowers, they looked so real! I hear at weddings people don’t eat the cake, but every single piece of our cake, all of the cupcakes, and all of the mini cakes were devoured by the end of the night. People raved about them! Carolina is so sweet and was so accommodating by letting us have multiple flavors even for a small wedding. Her cake tasting was also so nice and fun. Thank you Carolina!
I couldn’t say enough great things about this cake boutique! From the cake tasting to the day of the wedding, everything was amazing! They have many great alaskan themed flavors. We chose earl grey cake with fireweed jelly filling and it was AMAZING! The sugar flowers were breathtaking and completely edible! We received so many compliments from our guest on how amazing the cake tasted and how beautiful and detailed it was. The owner is also so kind and so creative she absolutely knocks it out of the park! I highly recommend this cake boutique!
Carolina made all of our wedding cake dreams come true! It was such a joy to work with her and she took our inspiration and ran with it. We were so impressed with the sugar floral work - Carolina is a true artist! We couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out and it was some of the best cake we have ever eaten. Her flavors are also incredible and the buttercream is melt in your mouth. We've been dreaming of The Alaskan ever since!
